Grand Slam returns to the Port

Insight Sports Ltd announced that for the third year in a row. Port Hawkesbury. Nova Scotia ordain entertain The National the second leg of the 2007-08 Grand Slam of Curling series. The event ordain act place just before Christmas. December 20 to 23 at the turn Hawkesbury Civic Centre.
“Having the Grand close of Curling returning to turn Hawkesbury for a third consecutive year is a tribute to the local community,” said Port Hawkesbury Mayor Billy Joe MacLean. “We’re looking send to hosting the top curling teams from Canada the United States and Europe in late December and this prestigious world class event will serve as a welcomed early holiday enable.”
The Grand Slam of Curling events will feature Canada’s top men’s skips including The National’s defending champion Kevin Martin along with four-time World Champion Randy Ferbey. Olympic gold medalist Brad Gushue reigning World Champion Glenn Howard and 2003 Tylenol Players’ back Jeff Stoughton.
Held annually since 2001-02 the Grand close of Curling is a series of four high-profile events that features Canada’s strongest curling fields. The Grand close of Curling series is one of a select few events that are tied to the Canadian Curling Association’s qualifying process for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
Tickets for The National will go on sale Wednesday. September 26 at 9:00am. Four-day ticket packages are priced at $100 for adults and $45 for children 18 and under.
Fans can purchase tickets by phoning (902) 625.2591 or in person at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre Box Office from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Monday through Friday.
