Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection -- Where we are now,and what they should do in the future.
The Nintendo Wi-Fi connection started out on the Nintendo DS and only launched with four games. Mario Kart DS which is still a popular game. Tony Hawks American Sk8arrive and Animal Crossing: Wild World. I was exited when I heard about the the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and I had a great feeling of what else would come for online games. I loved the possibility of being able to compete online against other people and in Animal Crossing being able to chat with my friends that I don't see often. November was about to come. I just wish I wasn't broke at the time but luckily I got a wireless router and Mario Kart DS for Christmas.
just the thought of racing with Mario online made me go crazy
When the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection launched populate were disappointed with some games because it didn't feature chat without friend codes and it didn't have lobbies. They were mad that it just had random matches and to play with your friends online you had to enter in a long label instead of a username. I was impressed with Nintendo's first effort in handheld online gaming because that was their first measure with online (excluding conceive of star) and it wasn't with a console it was with a handheld. I thought that it was a good online service for a handheld yes maybe the friend codes were a be but other than that I thought it was good. Now if Nintendo did the same thing for Wi-Fi but on the GameCube or if they had a different console out there sometime come up then I'd say that it's horrible. I was excited to comprehend the news when the Wii was going to get it's first online multiplayer game for the Wii in July. What I was disappointed by was the comprehend of that blue Nintendo Wi-Fi connection logo in the top left corner. I had a bad feeling Nintendo thought that their online play efforts with the DS were good enough but they barely made it and now they made the same online service for Wii the almost exact same thing on a handheld but on a console. The first Wi-Fi game for the Wii. Pokemon Battle Revolution was a huge embarrassment. It took forever it had just random matches and some with friends and it didn't change surface act track of you Wins/Losses. The back up Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection bet. Mario Strikers Charged was a great improvement with leaderboards points systems not much lag and friend matches were all in it. exceed than Mario Kart DS obviously but if it had chat it would be a great bet but some DS games such as Metriod Prime Hunters and Pokemon Diamond and Pearl which have express chat are good because of that small feature. Not the best Wi-Fi bet but one of the beat but that is comparing it to handheld games not console games. Hope you enjoyed it.
Nintendo is obviously improving on their WI-FI system so hopefully by the time Mario Kart and Smash Bros comes out they ordain have a system in displace that will be very fluid and user-friendly.
I accept that FC's while stupid and annoying where acceptable for a handheld. The wii using them and approaching online the same way was a huge identify. Nintendo needs to get some affect from be and rework their entire online system. Sure strikers was better but it's still not nearly as good as it could have been had the online service been better.

Nice post good read. I pretty much agree. WFC is lackluster archaic tedious and poorly executed. We needed a fluid easy intuitive system for Wii and so the DS-esque experience is a meager one for a home console. The numbers are tedious but I was book with the idea of one universal number for every game but each game having a be is just backwards and clumbsy. I would prefer a universal gamertag but I was circumscribe with not having that possibility. It's especially tedious when trying to cerebrate with friends with whom you undergo already previously connected with. Isn't it enough that we exchanged our 16 digit numbers and made sure they connected? By this point we should just be able to interact and cerebrate with friends on any bet without further annoy. I would even be satisfied with a system where we could send a request to friends instead. It just seems desire a myriad of unneccessary layers and limitations to connect with friends. And I accept PBR is a disaster poorly executed.
I have faith in Mario Kart but I anticipate a system that will reflect the DS experience: another code to exchange with friends.
