"Kendrick Perkins doubtful for Game 6" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-06-19 07:11:48

Mutoni is on his way back from Cali today. Even though the Lakers were far from impressive after the first quarter last night and they are heading into an environment where the home fans will be bloodthirsty for a championship. L. A still has one advantage: health. Perk did not play in game 5 and that allowed Pau Gasol to grab rebounds and stuff. Right now it looks like Perk will. “It’s a good question,” Perkins said of whether he could play the rest of the series. “I couldn’t tell you. I can raise my arm but there’s just a lot of pain right now. I don’t know if I can take a hard hit on it. When we get back to Boston I’m supposed to get an MRI on it and then we’ll know more about it.” “Well. I can still direct up the trophy,” Perkins said. “It’s very disappointing. It’s not often that you get to the Finals. This is a very important game but if you can’t play then you can’t play.” drxslam says:The Lakers have been playing without their starting center for well half the season. So I guess winning one game out of three without your starting center shouldn’t be considered such an impressive feat. Arthur Rimbaud Jr says:Perkins isn’t the C’s center. He’s their starting cater forward. That’s the reason why KG isn’t the best pf of all time. He plays center. Just like Timmy Duncan. Lz - Cphfinest3 says:Some truth in that Arthur. Still KG is more pf than Timmy. Boston will win in 6 maybe 7 as was my original prediction. The only thing that worries me is that Kobe hasn’t had a defining moment yet (his game 3 was very good but not really defining). Lz - Cphfinest3 says:Jukai; imo KG is half pf half c. Timmy 2/3 c 1/3 pf. Perk is a center or a PF in the Otis Thorpe mold - choose your poise didn’t say that I agreed completely with Arthur’s statement. Eboy that’s exactly what I’m knocking KG for these days superstars are supposed to up their game in the finals neither Kobe or KG has done that. I’m really disappointed in KG to be honest instead of taking Pau/Odom to the rim every time down he’s passing out relying on that jumper. He should be getting Pau in foul trouble not the other way around. says:Well what constitutes a cater forward to you. LZ? I’m not saying you’re wrong but besides I think Garnett is 75-85% power forward and Perkins could not be more of a center if he tried. Garnett is more effective facing the basket leans on his jumper instead of always posting up likes being at the high post prefers rebounding farther away than under the basket… Kendrick Perkins has two defense modes: post mode and put back mode. I’m just confused here. Lz - Cphfinest3 says:Constitutes a pf. I would say Karl Malone - he was as pure a power forward as I’ve seen. Garnett does a lot of the things that you see in a bear on. I think Bill Russell would agree that a center’s foremost job is to protect the paint/rim Garnett does exactly this. Again I’m not so much talking about his offense hence the ½/½ argument. Perkins doesn’t fasten the d the way a c should do as I mentioned I see him more as a Otis Thorpe type power forward. Anyways maybe it’s unreasonable to discuss this as almost no teams play with a typical center these days. says:Yeah it’s also about ability… I actually have seen Perkins try to anchor the defense more than a few times this year often with hilarious results. He’s too slow and often surprise is forced to foul. Doc probably told him to cut the crap. Arthur Rimbaud Jr says:MJ once said Hakeem was a small forward playing center. Great players are versatile unlike say. Otis Thorpe or the Oak. Depending the people he plays with. KG can play anywhere in the froncourt from sf to center. Lz - Cphfinest3 says:Completely agree Perk (although a nice hardnosed player) just doesn’t have that presence you want in your c. The result of him trying to anchor the D is often as you put it rather comical. There’s a Pistons discussion going on at the “Game 5 live notes”-post if you’re interested. I’m getting tired of swithing back and forth and it’s kind of a slow day here so would be nice with some company on there sure TAD and B. Long agrees. says:[…] - 20 Second Timeout - Kobe has taken Rondo out of the series forcing the Celts to adapt. - close Online - Kendrick Perkins is now doubtful for Game 6 as well. Interesting… - OC Register - Phil’s asinine substitutions worked out? Um no. No they didn’t. - HOOPSWORLD - Shipping Zach Randolph to Philly actually makes a lot of sense. - The World of Doug Christie - Dougie isn’t taking this latest Tim Donaghy news so well. - Fanhouse - Could Andrew Bogut be in line for a max contract? Nah. - We Are the Postmen - Athletes get blocked by the rim too. They’re just like us! - Bobcats Planet - Five excellent reasons not to draft Brook Lopez. - ESPN - Taking a look at how Team USA’s roster is shaping up this pass. - Queen City Hoops - The latest ‘Sheed to Charlotte proposal? Thanks but no thanks. - On Deck Fantasy - Ten NBA players who probably deserve a knuckle sandwich. - Gossip on Sports - Comparing Celtics fans to Nazi sympathizers is not a good simile. - My Sports Rumors - Charlie Villanueva. Mo Williams and Michael Redd are on the block document write('’); […] says:There is no doubt that the Celtics can get the job done in game 6 without Perkins. Garnett will have to stay out of foul trouble and get the rebounds that Perkins would be getting if he were playing. Of course anytime you lose a starting big man it could be time for concern. However in the Celtics case they have ol’ reliable in PJ Brown coming off the bench who has proved valuable over the course of the playoffs. If he can manage to to compete a solid 20 minutes then the Celtics could be lifting the trophy at home Tuesday night. Big Boss says:Leon Powe!!! Cant stop him lol… I aint worried about perk he’ll be alright. But you Laker fans have to worry about a Celtics team that feels pressure now… approve in Bawston too. The Celtics aka Beantown Bandits tomorrow. Over says:[…] If the Lakers ever caught a break it’s with the injury to Kendrick Perkins. Perk has been really under rated on this Celtics team among the “Big 3″ when in fact he may be the most useful player of them all. You can call him a role player if you wish but he is very strong and dominant especially against a team like the Lakers. Perkins may be injured and have to sit out game six though. […] rand33p says:as a laker fan i wish the celts DO feel pressure… the lakers gotta step it up from the game 5 performance if they wanna win game 6… but i think game 6 is a must win for Boston as well. if it goes 7 the lakers win Boston gonna be too tight HIDAMAN says:If the Celtics were as good as everyone thinks and the Lakers are as bad as everyone is saying. It would have been over allready. Any one who lets go a 24 inform lead in the big show wont win it all then again anyone who lets a team score 41 point in a quater aint exactly what i label a chamionship team. Are the Lakers are getting lucky & staying alive? Or is the luck on the other team? I guess we will have to see. I say Lakers take it on game 7 Alex says:Perkins will play. It was a another NBA trick (forgive) to get the 6th game into Boston. Lakers really should have lost game 5. Anyone who watched the game or B-ball knows. My only suspesion why perkins will play has to broach with the Vegas line changing. Someone knows something. As for all you betters (Tim Donaghy) the Celtics have been a cash cow for everyone. The reason being; they have been underdogs ever since the begining of the season. You see they opened up with 75 to 1 odds versus the Lakers 35 to 1. Everyone know that the whole West Coast likes the Lakers so why not bet on them to win the Championship. Apparently no one betted on the Celtics hell they had the worst season last year. This is my point. Vegas wants the bettor to be confident in the lakers thats why they were favored this series. They want the bettor to bet on the Lakers regardless just so they can recoup there money and keep the money already locked up from the beginning. Anyway hope you enjoyed my theory. Game Seventy-One - Cubs 2 Rays 3WP - Grant Balfour (1-0) LP - Neal Cotts (0-1) Save - Troy Percival (16) Lou Piniella's offense was very quiet in the first game at his old stomping grounds.... Geovany Soto led off the 9th with the hardest hit ball of the game for the Cubs and was robbed of at least a double by left fielder Justin Ruggiano. Joe Maddon's defense replacement caught the liner off Soto's bat and ran directly into the wall. Mark DeRosa followed with a single. Piniella went to his bench and replaced Matt Murton with Kosuke Fukudome. With the Cubs down 3-1. Fukudome doubled down the left field line to put the tying runs in scoring position. Micah Hoffpauir pinch hit for Henry Blanco and on a 2-1 pitch from Troy Percival. Dioner Navarro allowed a high fastball to get through his glove.... Percival struck out Hoffpauir for the second out. With Jim Edmonds at the plate. Percival uncorked a wild pitch. Fukudome broke from 3rd but stopped as the ball bounced directly back to Navarro. Edmonds worked a walk and brought up Reed Johnson with 2 outs and the tying run on 3rd. Evan Langoria made a barehanded pickup and threw to 1st just in time to get Johnson to end the game. Ryan Dempster made only one mistake and made several big pitches to get out of trouble before departing after 5 innings. Cliff Floyd gave the Rays a 1-0 lead in the 2nd inning with his 6th home run of the season. Neal Cotts replaced Dempster in the 6th with the game tied at 1 and gave up the lead on his first pitch. Evan Langoria hit his 11th of the year over the wall in right center. The Rays third run and the difference in the game came in the 7th inning. Akinori Iwamura lined an infield single off of Cotts' leg to go away the inning and advanced to 3rd on Cotts' throwing error. Eric Hinske drove him in two batters later on a single to right off of Michael Wuertz. The Cubs dropped their second game of the road trip and are 2-2 with two left before heading approve to Chicago. The Cubs could simply not find a rhythm against Scott Kazmir. The Rays' ace did not allow a hit until the 5th inning but the Cubs did manage to score only the second earned run of the season at home off of Kazmir. Henry Blanco broke up the no hitter with a hit to center off the glove of Iwamura with 1-out in the 5th. Reed Johnson reached on an infield single with 2 outs and Ryan Theriot tied the game with a single to right. Theriot's bouncer went of the glove of Willy Aybar at first base and bounced past Iwamura into right field. Derrek Lee walked to load the bases and Kazmir was lifted in favor of Grant Balfour. Aramis Ramirez worked the ascertain to 2-2 before looking at strike three to end the inning. The Cubs had another scoring chance in the 7th after Reed Johnson reached on a hustle double to left center with 2 outs. Ryan Theriot worked the count to 3-1 and on the next pitch. Johnson took off for 3rd.... Ryan Dempster pitched rather well and kept his team in a game in which he did not have his best stuff. Dempster lasted just 5 innings and threw 107 pitches. The Rays worked the count on Dempster but he still struck out 6 and walked only 2. Dempster did his job once again on the road and one of these days ( ) he ordain notch his first win of the season away from Wrigley. Scott Kazmir just outpitched Dempster. The offense like the rest of the league could not figure him out. The Cubs did not quit even on a night they clearly did not have " ". They kept battling and almost pulled one out. Lou Piniella's lineup was missing a couple of key ingredients and Tuesday night was one of those games a team loses during a long season.... a couple of players do need to step up their performance. It is one thing to lose but it is another to not hit the books from mistakes and make adjustments. Carlos Zambrano is scheduled to face Andy Sonnanstine on Wednesday night. Well now that the fog has cleared from measure nights loss. A few things. We took a very good team in their ball park against one of the better pitchers in the league to the wire. Not once did we give up. Did we give away a few opportunities. Yes. I thought the steel by Johnson was pretty stupid but I really liked the bunt attemp. The Rays made two very good plays on that first Longoria made a good pick and throw and then Aybar made a very good catch at first. desire the title says you undergo to free the observe. To do that you should point and move right places and do right things. Good Luck!!!Walkthrough:dress the clock by pulling on the 4 strings in the back to match the clock on your computer. When done move on the the open right of the clock to make the cuckoo observe in the clock pop out. The open on the left controls the position of the cuckoo bird. Left long left short right long and right bunco are the 4 position. (Not in order). One of the positions ordain do something to the string holding the parrot up. When you do it sufficiently you will displace the cage. FREEDOM! (By the way if the measure on your computer advances to the next minute the cuckoo will stop popping out and you ordain undergo to re-adjust. Best not to play when your computer is at 59 minutes you will have to re-adjust 59 times to get it back around.)

Your mission is to help Xavier repair his go-kart engine in time for the big race! To accomplish this assign you will have to run the engine in order to determine which parts are faulty. Good Luck!!!Walkthrough:From the top-1. Start the engine and look at the first cylinder. Something ordain be faulty.2. Stop the engine.3. regenerate the faulty part.4. Restart the engine and check to see if the replaced move works. If not tell.5. Once the engine runs smoothly (appear will change and all parts will work) turn it off.6. move on the bring up hook which will move the engine to the go-cart.7. Quickly move on the engine to start it. WHERE to move seems a little fickle but towards the rear seems to always work. Clicking on the key does NOT always bring home the bacon. There are 3 spark plugs hidden:1 on the top shelf sticking up above the white basin come the left window.1 on the workbench behind a brown canister come the toolchest.1 on the back up shelf of the bookshelves. There are 3 pistons hidden:1 under the toolchest toward the right side- tough to see.1 in the forefront just to the right of the engine.1 on the top shelf of the bookshelves. You can see the end of it hanging down over the shelf. There are 6 valves hidden. This means you could possibly try 5 before finding one that will work:1 on top of the toolchest behind the screwdriver and standing beside the window frame.1 under the workbench close to the end of the board on the floor.1 on the far right side of the workbench laying on top of the color rag.1 under the right window behind the can of spilled goo.1 behind the go-cart at the far right advance of the screen.1 on the 4th bookshelf from the bottom sticking up right in the middle.
