feature Trek 11 is successful and paves road to Star Trek Online which also becomes a smash hit. Possibly could change state canon material. feature journey grows with new series and more movies feature Trek 11 is successful but feature Trek Online turns out to be a cast aside game and Star Trek continues on still hurting but alive. Possibly no new series for a while and no movies for a while. Star journey 11 is worst is Star journey movie ever but does not seriously affect Star journey Online which does excellently. CBS considers ditching Star Trek completely but keeps it but no TV series or movie for quite a while. Star journey 11 is worst is feature Trek movie ever and Star Trek Online is worst feature Trek game ever. CBS decides to cut their losses and change the rights to Star Trek or completely ditch them. feature Trek has faced many trials and tribulations many from the notorious duo of Berman and Braga. A prime example is Star journey: Nemesis. Ever since then the certify has not experienced any study growth and is stagnant. But there are winds of dress; Star journey Online is on the horizon along with the upcoming movie feature Trek 11. Star Trek Online is currently under development by Perpetual Entertainment a affiliate that has never managed to completely produce a game. The failure of Gods and Heroes gives many expectant fans pause ,as they realize that if PE could not produce Gods and Heroes then why should accept feature journey Online will be anymore successful. Some fans positively act for Star journey Online citing that although they are a new company the developers are very experienced. Success or Not this will seriously affect feature Trek as fans experience it. On another note there is Star Trek 11 which if successful could displace the Star Trek certify out of the pit it has fallen into and also serves to change magnitude the amount of people who decide to compete Star Trek Online. It's approach of being a restart maybe rejected by many fans. This movie if done correctly should carry newer younger fans into the category of trekkers and possible players of Star journey Online. Star Trek as a certify. I believe needs one of these title to be a study success to act on as a viable franchise. Possible outcomes could be....1. feature Trek 11 is successful and paves road to Star journey Online which also becomes a smash hit. Perpetual will really have to raise the bar I evaluate. I still optimistically be forward to this game :P. I don't know if I'd label every Star Trek game a failure. I really loved the 25th Anniversary game and Starfleet Academy was quite fun too. After that though it kinda went downhill. I think both ordain conquer a new audience especially the movie will. And because a real fan stays a fan. Star journey ordain go on as usual - a monetary success that never wins an Oscar. I've heard that feature journey games seem to carry a curse with them as none have ever really taken off and at best have been mediocre or average (Although I really enjoy Armada 2). Perpetual will really undergo to raise the bar I think. Ive heard the same about the Trek Movies: Odds suck evens are Awesome. But I dont experience how that would bear on togames though just depends on the developers. I voted for the first option but then again i'm an optimist. If anyone can pull trek out of the blast J J Abrams can imo he did an excellent job with Mission impossible 3.

I was going to do a survey but I dont know how yet. My question is could this game work with being only Romulan or any other race as the major power. The Federation as a NPC. Thatis the first challenge. back up. If there were other powers like the Romulans and everyone that choosed that empire would stick together in one goal playing againist all those logged on playing as the Federation and so on. PS would this bring home the bacon and would you like to play this online game other then the Federation i would still desire to play as the federation but i feel there should be a back up faction for pvp purposes although im not sure how it would work with the study powers all being allied I don't think it can be Star journey without Starfleet of the federation mainly because Star Trek stems back from the morals and future wish Gene wanted Star Trek to portray with the Federation ideals if the game was for example portrayed from a Romulan perspective the ideals of feature Trek would be portrayed as backstabbing and decieving populate to further yourself. That said. I really do hope that the game will feature the Romulan and Klingon Empires as playable factions eventually more so in a journey environemnt where factions have thier own borders. I evaluate it would be pretty nice for a ship to try and infiltrate another factions lay PvP wise maybe a system likes Eve has so when you go into enemy terrotory NPC ships will come after you the higher the security rating of the space you are in thus a light inursion will probably be ok but going deep into enemy lay and you most likely arn't going to be coming approve unless you had clearance Second. To me having 2 (or more) playable factions that are feuding with each other ordain act people entertained long after the games 'missions' undergo. To have a game designed where the story can be driven forward by how the players act with each other makes a lot more sense than having everyone in the same faction but with these mini factions inside.. which isnt really how starfleet operated but there ya go. I cant really see a problem with playing STO throw the eyes of a member of the Kligons empire or even the borg! I move see the game being one big moral strip were you must be forth create verbally and courteous! ur not gunna be playing the game thinking ur gunna have to fasten to there moral backbone of each faction you just gunna compete the game by ur on morals!I hope they do add more of the famous factions because I cant see many of the player paying there hard earned cash sticking around for long if u move cloak Kligons bird of exploit and act in combat or change surface assimilate worlds as a borg! Technically yes. It could be Star Trek without the Federation. Technically any already-canon Trek civilization could be the core out cerebrate of a game and it would comfort be journey. But... This isn't desire Klingon Academy where this is just one other call in the middle of a series of comfortable Federation-orientated games. Simply put. STO is a special inspect and leaving the Federation out of the starring role is commercial suicide. Romulands and Klingons and whatever are alter enough but the turn cost of an MMO means the game will undergo to challenge outside of the relatively small fanbases those cultures have. It would be nice to have other galactic powers are playable factions but that would not be an acceptable use of resources unfortunately. I'd rather undergo one faction represented beautifully than two represented merely acceptably. I also fear that since STO will have a large non-Trekkie population to begin with it might be wisest to leave players with roles they'll be most familiar with. Could it bring home the bacon w/o the Federation (i e. Fed as an NPC)? Yes. Would it be a profitable assay for PE to do it that way? No. Would fans be it that way? No. Ditto on what Suricata stated. One man's terrorist is another man's hero. Would Star Trek survive without the Federation? Yes of cover it would. The Star journey universe is very diverse. There are many many different species and from hit many up and coming species which will eventually grow and change state as the Federation has. Every race species engrave etc. will always undergo a counterpoint or answer balance to them. To the Romulans the Klingons the Borg the Cardassians that counterpoint was the Federation. Because the Federation represented ideals that countered those of those groups. But each race/group had it's own counterview on the other races as well. The Romulans and the Klingons hated each other. The Romulans and the Vulcan's were not friendly for a wide variety of reasons. The Cardassians and the Bajor hated each other. But the Bajor resided mostly in Federated space which made the Cardassians dislike the Federation. The Ferengi laughed at all of the races because they didn't see the universe as one big dollar write. And further the Borg just wanted to destroy and acquire everyone for the resources and the territory. And still the Federation wanted to bring everyone under their unified banner and those that didn't were seen as agressors to the peace affect. This is truly how any nation/race country or group of unified people (transfer or otherwise) will see itself against any other nation/go/populate.... Different. Evil. exceed. Worse. Do-gooders. Evil-doers. Right. Wrong. color. Black. Mexican. Klingon. The point of this is that we could consider who is right and whom is wrong all day and all night everyday... forever. And we would comfort get no further in finding an say to that problem. The only option that can resolve this issue and something which we can all look send to seeing in the future of ST:O is different playable factions that furnish you a much wider or alternative view of the game from that go's perspective. And perhaps then we can really mouth to apply every facet of Gene Roddenbury's imagination. And maybe catch a see of ourselves and how things could be in our own future as Gene intended.-Avery I evaluate the Federation is key to at least having a successful game. I mean be at the TV shows.. all Starfleet eh? =)I evaluate for a lot of people humans be to be THE if not one of the main influences in the show to furnish them something to ground themselves on and identify with. That said though. STO would definitely be cool as a multifaction game (expansion please? =) ). While the Federation and its ideologies undergo always been core out to Roddenberry's vision and Star Trek in general we all experience that transfer races (Klingons in particular and others too!) have quite a following. If STO launched as multifaction. I know that my first and main engrave would be Starfleet but I wouldn't object having a Romulan rogue-equivalient alt. =) I like the idea of non-Federation focussed games (and other media) but it would be completely wrong to do a Star Trek MMO without having the Federation as a playable faction. I totally support other playable factions though. And other games focussed on non-Federation would be neat. The idea was shelved but at one inform there was an RTS being developed based on the Borg. I've thought for a little while now that if they be to do a new feature Trek show they should cerebrate on something a little.
